Six people have died after a cargo plane crashed in Cameroon after failing to land at an airport in Ndjamena, capital of neighbouring Chad.
The Ukrainian aircraft had been chartered by Libya to fly food and medical aid to Chad.
It crashed into a riverbank and exploded as it tried to land.
The BBC's Stephanie Hancock at the scene said smouldering wreckage and human remains were scattered across a field outside the capital.
'Wing on fire'
The nationality of the crew is not yet known. Chadian officials say the Ukrainian plane had begun its journey in Saba in northern Libya.
Chadian officials say they believe a technical error was to blame for the crash.
The plane had attempted to land at Ndjamena airport, but aborted the landing at the last minute.
Officials said pilots told the air control tower they were going to circle before attempting the landing again, but two minutes later, it crashed.
Fishermen on the Chari River, which runs between Chad and Cameroon, said the cargo plane's left wing appeared to be on fire as it passed overhead.
Police and army are now on the scene looking for the plane's black box.
