Five Iraqi policemen were killed when their convoy was hit by roadside bomb in the town of Tarmiyah north of Baghdad on Tuesday, local police chief colonel Towfiq Ahmad al-Janabi said.
The bomb targeted the convoy of Faisal Ismail, the police chief in the nearby town of Mashaada, Janabi told AFP.
Iraq's security forces are a constant target for attack by fighters.
