At least 26 people have been killed and dozens more wounded after a suicide bomber attacked a police recruitment centre in Iraq, police said.
Eight police were among those killed in the attack on Sunday at Baghdad's main police academy and the rest were would-be recruits.
"Eight policemen... died when a suicide bomber blew himself up in the middle of a crowd outside the academy on Palestine Street," a police official said.
An interior ministry official said up to 50 people may have been wounded.
The Baghdad academy has come under attack before.
Fifteen people died and more than 45 others were wounded in two blasts on December 1, as groups opposed to the Iraqi government began to target security installations and employees around the country.
