Two American troops were killed Wednesday in separate attacks in Baghdad and a city just to the west, the military reported. A third soldier was reported to have died separately of a non-hostile gunshot wound. In one incident, a soldier was killed and three were injured in a roadside bombing in Fallujah, some 50 kilometers west of Baghdad, according to the AP. The military said the attack occurred at 7:10 a.m. The dead soldier was from the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, the military said. The second death came in an attack on a military convoy at 7:45 a.m. in Baghdad. The killed soldier was of the 205th Military Intelligence Brigade. Also Wednesday, the U.S.-led civilian administration in Iraq started putting up new wanted posters throughout Iraq that carry the faces of Saddam and sons, Uday and Qusay. The sons' faces are covered with an "x," reminding Iraqis that they were killed by American forces and that a reward of 30 million US dollars was paid to the informant who turned in the brothers. The poster says the 25 million US dollars reward for Saddam still stands. Meanwhile, the British Defense Secretary Geoff Hoon said Wednesday that a government weapons adviser, whose death triggered a major political crisis, had supported the government's policy on Iraq. Hoon appeared before an inquiry in to the death of David Kelly and said the scientist told him that he backed the government's resolve to disarm Saddam Hussein's regime of weapons of mass destruction. Hoon added Kelly made these remarks during a discussion in the Ministry of Defense's cafeteria earlier this year. The defense minister said his ministry supported a government dossier on Iraqi weapons of mass destruction prepared to back the case for war against Iraq.
