At least five Palestinians, including a woman, have been killed during a largescale Israeli army raid in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian witnesses and medical sources said.
Hospital sources in Khan Yunis said that seven people had also been wounded during armed clashes which witnesses said had broken out during the arrest operation. Two houses were also demolished during the raid, they added.
Israel's raids in the Gaza Strip also claimed another life, when a Palestinian seriously wounded two days ago in the southern city of Rafah died in hospital, Palestinian medical sources said.
More than 200 Palestinian and foreign women demonstrated yesterday in this village against a controversial security barrier that Israel is building across the West Bank.
Palestinian women's minister Zahira Kamal joined around 200 Palestinians and 50 foreign peace activists in Masha in the northern West Bank.
