Three settlers have been injured in an attack on their bus east of Qalqilya city in the West Bank, Aljazeera's correspondent in Palestine reported.
Fatah's al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack on Tuesday. The Israeli occupation army said it had sent a large number of troops to the area.
South of Gaza, Palestinian fighters fired two anti-tank missiles at a Jewish settlement on Tuesday, the correspondent said, quoting Israeli security sources.
One of the missiles hit an electricity line, causing a power cut in the settlement, the correspondent added.
**Nablus under attack***
Amid the attacks and counter-attacks, an Israeli special force hit the al-Qasaba neighbourhood in the Old City in Nablus, where clashes had taken place earlier with Palestinians, the correspondent said.
In the al-Qarara area north of Khan Yunis city in Gaza, witnesses told Aljazeera that Israeli forces arrested eight Palestinians early on Tuesday.
The arrests took place after Israeli military bulldozers carried out widespread demolitions in the area.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces withdrew from the al-Shoauth neighbourhood and Block J along the Egyptian border south of Rafah refugee camp, the correspondent reported.
Israeli forces had attacked the area late on Monday, destroying a number of Palestinian houses and a wide swathe of farmlands.
The attack was accompanied by fierce firing, in which two Palestinians were injured, including a youth who was seriously hurt inside his home.
