Black spots do not take the ruling of dead skin when performing ablution Fatwa No: 130286
- Fatwa Date:17-12-2009
dear brothers, my question is connected to Fatwa No. 126745. There you have mentioned that the black skin does not fall under the category of the dead skin. So does this mean that having such a black skin and making ablution or ghusl is valid? I am raising this question because lately I have found another black skin on my right foot which was very small and I do not know how long it has been there or what caused it. As soon as i found it I peeled it off. So what about the ablutions, ghusls and salahs i have made with that thing present in my body, are they valid?
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Our statement that black spots do not take the ruling of dead skin means that it is not an obligation to remove it when performing ablution and Ghusl; therefore, your ablution and Ghusl are valid.
Finally, we advise you to avoid whispers and not to pay attention to them.
Allaah Knows best.
