All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Living with that man without marriage is a great abominable sin and him having sexual intercourse with you is nothing but pure Zina (fornication or adultery) – we seek refuge in Allaah from it – and it is an immorality and an evil way. Therefore, you are obligated to take the initiative to repent and cut your relationship with him. Indeed, you should thank Allaah that you are still alive and that He did not take your soul while you are on this grave major sin. For more benefit on the conditions of sincere repentance, please refer to Fataawa 86527 and 87903.
Besides, this child was born out of an illicit relationship; so he should not be traced back to that man because he has no relation with him as discussed in Fatwa 85430.
Also, Mut’ah (temporary) marriage is forbidden as we clarified in Fataawa 84187 and 82221. This prohibition applies to a marriage contract that took place for a limited period of marital bond, but if a man marries a woman while having the intention to divorce her without conditioning this in the contract, then this is not Mut’ah; for more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 83457.
Hence, if this man agrees to marry you, then praise be to Allaah, otherwise you should cut your relationship with him completely and endeavor to find a pious husband who would help you in your religious matters as well as your worldly matters. You should seek the help of some of your Muslim sisters in this regard and if you fear Allaah, Allaah will facilitate your matter. Allaah Says (what means): {… And whosoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine.}[Quran 65:2-3]
