Those who refuse to worship Allaah will certainly go to Hell Fatwa No: 29369
- Fatwa Date:18-8-2011
Today, most of the people in the world disbelieve in Allaah The Almighty. Will they enter Hell if they die as disbelievers?
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alyhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
Allaah The Almighty created all creatures to worship Him alone. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {And I did not create the Jinn and mankind except to worship Me.} [Quran 51:56]
Therefore, whoever rebels against Allaah The Almighty and refuses to worship Him will certainly go to Hell, according to the numerous texts of the Quran and the Sunnah. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {So as for he who transgressed, and preferred the life of the world, then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge.} [Quran 79:37- 39]
This is the judgment of sound reason, because he who rebels against man-made laws or refuses to comply with them exposes himself to punishment in this life and may spend decades in prison. Indeed, no one would condemn this as it is considered a lawful punishment. Therefore, if we accept that violating man-made laws means receiving the punishment of the ruler and law-makers, it is absurd to reject the fact that the violator of the commandments of Allaah The Almighty, the Creator and the Sustainer, deserves punishment.
Thus, what is significant is not how many people will go to Hell or Paradise, but obedience and compliance with the commandments of Allaah The Almighty, because Allaah The Almighty has no kinship with any of His creations. Thus, those who obey Him will enter Paradise, and those who disobey Him will enter Hell. Allaah The Almighty Said (what means): {Whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray [in the world] nor suffer [in the Hereafter], and whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind.} [Quran 20:123, 124]
Moreover, no one has the right to object to His judgment. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {He cannot be questioned as to what He does, while they will be questioned.} [Quran 21:23]
We advise you not to be deceived by the great number of skeptics, as any reasonable person who acknowledges that Allaah The Almighty is the Creator must consequently accept that He is the One who commands and forbids and the One who has to be absolutely obeyed. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allaah, Lord of the worlds.} [Quran 7:54].
Finally, you should know that Allaah The Almighty Says (what means):
Allaah Knows best.
