What is the ruling about looking at women or television in cartoons and films?

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

It is Haram to look at alien women and there is no difference to look them directly or by T.V. or in magazines.
Lowering one's gaze in such a case makes one's religion better and his heart purer.
It is said that whoever keeps his eyes from looking at what is Haram, Allah grants him a bright insight.
al-Hakim recorded in his book of Hadith "al-Mustadrak" from Huzaifah that Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "A look (at what is Haram) is a poisoned arrow of the Devil's arrows, whoever leaves it for fear of Allah, He - The Exalted - grants him faith whose sweetness he finds in his heart" .
al-Hakim said: 'This Hadith is with a sound chain of narration' .
Another narration by al-Tabarani reads: "A look is an a poisoned arrow of the Devil's arrows, whoever leaves it for fear of Allah, He will give him faith whose sweetness he finds in his heart as a substitute" .
