My question is on piercing. I've known that piercing elsewhere than the ears is haram for women. My question is, what if the husband prefers the wife to do piercing on the body part? Is it still Haram?

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

In principle it is forbidden to pierce any part of the body as this is causing pain to it without any necessity. However, some scholars permitted piercing the ear and nose, as needed, for beautification, provided that some requirements are met.

However, the ruling of piercing parts of the body other than the ear and nose remains on its principle (forbidden) even if the husband gives permission to his wife to this effect or instructs her to do so.
