Assalamualikum, Is it permissble for a woman to dye her hair black not to cover grey hairs or decieve others but rather to beautify herself for her husband? Jazakallahalkhair

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

Some Prophetic narrations were reported about the prohibition of dyeing the hair with black color, and the prohibition is understood to mean forbiddance [as some prohibitions could mean dislikeability], according to the preponderant opinion of the scholars . For more benefit, please refer to Fataawa 83016 and 82802.

However, some scholars permitted for a woman to dye her with black color with the purpose of beautifying herself for her husband, nonetheless, the preponderant opinion is that this is forbidden as clarified above.
