Is dressing good to impress people an act of minor shirk? Question 2:What is meant by doing good deeds for the dunya? And how is it a form of shirk? Some ahadith mention the wordly benefits of doing good deeds. Question 3:Is praying the hanafi way the wrong way? There are ahadith about it. Question 4:What is the ruling on choosing a less authentic hadith over an authentic one?
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
We are going to only answer your first question as per the policy of the site, and you may ask other questions each separately.
So, we say: Wearing good clothes in something permitted in the Sharee'ah.
The Prophet said: “Anyone who has an atom’s weight of pride in his heart shall not enter Paradise.” A man said: “O Prophet of Allah, a man likes that his clothes look nice and his shoes look nice.” He (the Prophet) said: “That is not pride. Pride is rejecting the truth (out of self-conceit) and disdaining people.” [Muslim]
So, if anyone wants to wear good clothes, he is in conformity with the natural predisposition upon which Allah created mankind, whether he intended to influence the people or otherwise. This does not harm and it is not considered as minor Shirk.
Allah knows best.
