Is it right to take Allaah's name for women? Like changing Hameed to Hameedah for women?

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

It is permissible to name a woman 'Hameedah'; in fact, this name existed in the time of the Taabiʻeen (those who came after the Prophtet's companions), and we could not find any statement of the scholars criticizing bearing such a name. Az-Zarqaani wrote, "Hameedah was a young female from the Taabiʻeen whose narration was approved by hadeeth scholars..." [Sharh Al-Muwatta’]

Al-Haafith wrote, "Hameedah narrated on the authority of Umm Salamah. She was the mother of a son born to Ibraaheem ibn ʻAwf..." [At-Taqreeb]

The scholars maintained that it is permissible to use names that may be used in reference to Allaah, The Exalted, or others; it is permissible to use these names, such as ʻAli, Rasheed and Badeeʻ.  It is prohibited to use the names that belong only to Allaah, The Exalted, and these include: Al-Khaaliq (the Creator), Ar-Rahmaan (Most Merciful), Al-Quddoos (Most Holy), Al-Awwal (the First), Al-Aakhir (the Last), Al-Baatin (the Hidden) and the like.
