Question
Aslaam o Allaikum Brothers, I want to ask one question regarding eating chicken with skin. there's a common concept in people here that eating chicken with skin is MAKROO. Actually, Most of the fast food restaurants here (Qatar) serve chicken with skin. this is the reason i am asking this question. Thanks in Advance. Ma' Salam
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
It is permissible to eat chicken’s skin; there is a general narration which proves that it is permissible to eat it. Abu Moosa Al-Ash’ari 
brought food with chicken, and there was a man who did not come near to eat from the food. Then, Abu Abu Moosa Al-Ash’ari told him: “Come near, I saw the Prophet 
eating from it [from the chicken].” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
We do not know that any scholar has ever stated that it is disliked to eat chicken’s skin, rather some scholars 
clearly stated that it is permissible to eat it.
