Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

First of all, we ask Allaah to suffice us all with what He has allowed instead what He has forbidden and make us all suffice with His Graces needing nothing from anyone else.

We have already issued Fatwa 89915 clarifying that it is not permissible to work in a bank that deals with Riba (interest and/or usury) as this is helping in the consumption of Riba, and we have also published Fatwa 82399 clarifying that it is not permissible for a woman to work in a mixed workplace where the religious requirements are not taken into account.

Therefore, you are obligated to leave this job and it is not permissible for you to continue doing it unless you are in case of real necessity and you did not find another job to move to, in which case, it is permissible for you to continue working in this bank but once the necessity does no longer exist, then you are obligated to leave it.

For more benefit on the limit of the necessity that makes what is unlawful permissible, please refer to first above-referred Fatwa.

Allaah Knows best.
