Question
HI SIR, COULD YOU PLEASE CONFIRM BE ABOUT OUR BELOVED IMAM ABD UR RAHMAN AL NASAI DEATH. 2ND HAVE FACED OUR BELOVED IMAM ABDUR RAHMAN AL NASI ANY ALLEGATION IN HIS FIQH REGARDS, ASIF MEHMOOD DOHA - QATAR
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
Imaam An-Nasaa’i 
was one amongst the prominent scholars of Hadeeth and a great figure of the Muslim nation, and the scholars praised him much.
For instance, Ibn Katheer in “Al-Bidaayah Wan-Nihaayah”, quoted Ad-Daaraqutni, saying: “He was the most knowledgeable scholar of his time in Egypt, and he was the most knowledgeable in the Saheeh [sound] and the Dha’eef [weak] Hadeeth, and the most knowledgeable in the biography of narrators of Hadeeth. When he reached this status, he was envied by his contemporaries, so he left to Ar-Ramlah, where its people asked him about the merits of Mu’aawiyah, but he kept silent, so they beat him in the mosque, and he told them: “Let me leave to Makkah.”, so he was driven out while he was sick, and he died in Makkah as a martyr. In addition to the merits that he had, he was blessed with martyrdom at the end of his life, and he died in Makkah in the year 303 A.H.”
In another context, Ibn Katheer reported from Ibn Khallikaan that he said: “An-Nasaa’i, compiled the merits of ‘Ali and Ahlul-Bayt because when he went to Damascus in 302 A.H., he found its people displaying dislike toward Ali, and they asked him about Mu’aawiyah and he said what he said, so they kicked him in his testicles and he died (because of that).”
Besides, “Siyar A’laam An-Nubalaa'” reads: “An-Nasaa’i, the learned Imaam and great scholar of Hadeeth, the trustworthy Shaykh of Islam, the reviewer of Hadeeth (i.e. an expert in the scrutiny and criticism of narrators of Ahaadeeth), Abu ‘Abdur-Rahmaan Ahmad Ibn ‘Ali Ibn Sinaan Ibn Bahr Al-Khurasaani, the author of the Sunnan. He belonged to the Shaafi’i School of jurisprudence and he authored a book on Hajj rituals according to the Shaafi’i School. …He was martyred in Damascus by the Khawaarij. In addition to this, there was no scholar who was more learned than An-Nasaa’i at the beginning of the year 300 A.H.; however, he was a little bit biased against the enemies of ‘Ali, like Mu’aawiyah, and ‘Amr (Ibn Al-'Aas). May Allaah forgive him.”
