Assalamu alaikum, I have a question regarding ''I work at a school as a teacher , so the school has planned to take children (boys and girls) to an educational tour to another city and we are palnning to stay one night there. but I am travelling with a female teacher but we are given seperate rooms to sleep. I wanted to know is it allowed to go with the children and female teacher?
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
In general such trips are not free from some reasons of temptation, such as forbidden mixing, speaking (to the other sex) without a need, a woman softening her voice while speaking (with non-Mahram men) and the like. So, if you predominantly believe that your trip will be free from such prohibitions, it becomes permissible for you to go [on this trip].
However, in case you fear that some of these prohibitions may occur, then it is not permissible for you to go on this trip. So, you should act according to what is safer for your religion because one’s religion is the most precious thing he has, so whoever sells his religion for his worldly life, he has indeed lost both his worldly life and his Hereafter. Allaah Says (what means): {He has lost [this] world and the Hereafter. That is what the manifest loss is.}[Quran 22:11]
Allaah Knows best.
