salaam, sir we are from dust and return to dust then the verse of surah rahman "sanafraghulakum ayyuhassaqalan " mean. The thing twist me is we are the particles of earth then what are we burden for the earth
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
Ath-Thaqalaan refers to mankind and Jinn. They are called so because they are carried on the earth. They are like the burden carried on the animal as the scholars of Tafseer (interpretation of the Quran) have stated. Being created from dust, this does not go against the idea that humans are a burden on the earth. Although created from dust which is a delicate substance, the reality of man became different after he was created, in addition to the fact that dust itself is heavy.
Ar-Raazi said in his Tafseer: "They are called so because they are burdens on the surface of the earth. Although dust is a delicate substance so that Aadam would be created from it, it is still a burden…" [End quote]
Allaah Knows best.
