Question
Is it permissible to go to a magician in order to break a magic spell?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
It is not permissible to go to magicians in order to treat and break magic spells. The person who is afflicted with a magic spell must seek the permissible means to break it.
Whoever goes to a magician to break a magic spell must repent to Allaah The Almighty, ask for His forgiveness and do many acts of worship. It is hoped that Allaah The Almighty will forgive his misdeed.
