Fatwa CenterReciting Quran to treat excessive eye blinking
Question
Please tell me that why the eye blink several times. Means pharkna. Some people says its bad or good.. Any cure for it.. . Any surah that we should start reading when this eye blinking starts.... Please guide me
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
Normal eye movement is something natural in all people. However, if such movement is abnormal, then you can consult the medical and psychological consultants to learn about its causes and treatment.
In any case, if there is an illness, the Ruqyah is a treatment for both psychological and physical illnesses. The best Ruqyah is with the Quran, the best one being with Soorah Al-Faatihah, Aayah Al-Kursi [2:255], and the protective Soorahs [Quran 112-113-114].
It has been soundly reported that ‘Imraan ibn Husayn 
related that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: “Recite the Quran and ask Allaah with it, before there come people who recite it and ask people with it.” [Ahmad - al-Albaani graded it Saheeh (sound)]
The prominent scholar Ibn al-Qayyim 
said: “Among the protective utterances and Ruqyahs is the frequent recitation of the two protective Soorahs [Quran 113 and 114], Soorah Al-Faatihah and Aayah Al-Kursi.” [End of quote]
