All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His Slave and Messenger.

We pray that Allaah rewards you generously for your keenness to ask about matters that concern you so as to implement the words of Allaah (which mean): {So ask the people of the message if you do not know.} [Quran 16:43]

Moreover, we appreciate your desire to adhere to the straight path and avoid incurring Allaah's anger. We ask Allaah to increase your piety and righteousness and to protect you and your religiosity.

The answer to your inquiry is as underlined in the previous Fatwa: In principle, it is forbidden for you to be present in a place where a prohibited act is committed without a valid reason, such as being there to forbid it for instance. If you can leave the place where those rituals are held so that you do not hear or see them being performed, you should do so. The Hanbali scholar Ar-Ruhaybaani may Allaah have mercy upon him said about accepting an invitation to an event where a prohibited act is to be committed,

If the invited person knows about the prohibited being committed, but he does not see or hear it, it is permissible for him to sit in such a place and eat there according to Imaam Ahmad because what is prohibited is seeing and hearing the prohibited act, which is not existing in this case.

If there is no way out of hearing the evil speech, then in principle it is not permissible for you to carry on with your studies in this school as highlighted in the previous Fatwa unless there is a valid necessity and real need for it and you cannot find any other school to enroll in instead.

Allaah Knows best.
