Is the story of Abdullah Ibn Al-Mubaarak meeting a woman who only spoke with verses from the Quran authentic?
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
The story of the woman who only spoke with the Quran with Abdullah ibn Al-Mubaarak was mentioned in some literature books, such as the book entitled Thamaraat Al-Awraaq, authored by Ibn Hujjah Al-Hamawi, and the book Al-Mustatraf fi kulli Fannin Mustathraf, authored by Al-Absheehi. Such books are unreliable in documentation and in classifying their stories as authentic or not. In addition to this, the story was mentioned without any chain of narrators and without stating who narrated it among the authors of the Books of the Sunnah.
Allah knows best.
