Salam alaykoumI shortened my question 2728520I entered a country as a student with document X approved by immigration. I later met my wife and we submitted to immigration paperwork to change my status from student to resident and later to citizen. To change status from student to resident document x was one of the documents submitted even though immigration’s main focus was the validity of the marriage at this point. I’ve been thinking about document X lately because in it I lied about the level of education. I don’t know why I lied because there was not benefit from this lie at the time. I however never gave falsified degrees or certifications. This all occurred several years ago. And now I remembered putting the wrong level of education on document X, I regret this and I have repented many many times. Now I have a stable job that I got with my true level of education disclosed to my employer. The idea of me lying about the education on document X has me doubting if my income is halal or haram Is my income now halal or haram? Also if someday I need financial assistance from the country’s government will that assistance be halal or haram?
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
What you have mentioned had finished and it has no effect on your work or anything else. There are no end to whispers if you give in to them and do not repel them. If you do not stop giving in to them, they will ruin your life.
Therefore, you must avoid them totally.
Allah knows best.
