Question
Assalamualaikum. I am a passionate Muslim who sincerely believes that the Islamic Caliphate needs to be established on earth. I have excellent thinking, reading and writing skills. I want to become a thinker and writer who encourages Muslims to repent from their sins, and establish the Islamic caliphate on earth. How can I become a thinker? What do I do to help?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
You are upon much goodness; we ask Allah to enable you to do good.
The way you serve Islam begins by striving to learn the rulings of the religion. So, you learn the correct belief, the Fiqh (jurisprudence), and other Islamic sciences, such as the Tafseer (interpretation of the Quran), the Hadeeth and so on. This will enable you to understand the religion well and then invite people to it upon insight, following into the footsteps of the Prophet 
to whom Allah Says (what means): {Say, “This is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me. And exalted is Allah; and I am not of those who associate others with Him.”} [Quran 12:108]
As for becoming a thinker, you can read the books authored by the former and contemporary Islamic thinkers which enriched the Islamic library.
By being addicted to reading, you will have a strong ability of thinking and creativity. However, this must be based on the principles of correct belief and upon complete following of the Prophet .
