Question

Salamu 3allaikum,If a person had to smile probably even laugh a little bit because of the Word Qailulah, what is the verdict? Please take in note that the person wasn‘t certain in this moment whether it is a islamic word or not. The person just guessed it and found out afterwards. This smiling/laughing was because of the sound of the Word. He didn‘t intend to Mick.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

There is no sin on the one who laughs or smiles when he hears the word Qayloolah (siesta), and this is not considered a mockery of the Islamic religion.

We advise you to ignore these whispers and not give any attention to them.

Allah Knows best.
