Writings on Clothes Have No Effect on the Validity of the Prayer

Question

Assalaamu'alaykum warahmatullahi wabarokatuh. Is wardrobe, i.e. shirt or pants, with brand that is named after someone's name such as Levi Strauss, or named after a city name such as New York City, or word “premium quality”, or “world without stranger”, or Arabic word, e.g. Al Haadi, is written on it, is this allowed to be worn like when praying, while knowing that this is different from underwear that is mentioned in fatwa no. 408952, which is worn outside? If the word is tried to be erased so it become unclear but still readable if we look closely, is it still allowed to wear it?Jazaakumullahu khoyroo.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

Writings on clothes have no effect on the validity of the Prayer, and there is no connection between the two matters.

We advise you to repel these whispers, not pay any attention to them, and endeavor to treat them.

Allah Knows best.
