Whispers Regarding Creed

Question

So when I looked at my aqeedah book contemplating about it, I said. “This Book Will Guide Me!” But then instantly I looked at what I said and regretted it and said. “No.. only Allah guides me what have I just saidjQuery111009531170293940604_1642575386059” I have a doubt if I d said something that is kufr or shirk, I said that phrase out of thankfulness and excitement I think, I don’t know what to do I’m really afraid if I have done something that nullified my islam or something like it.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

What you mentioned is not disbelief, for the guidance in the sense of direction, instruction, and clarification is correct to attribute it to other than Allah, The Exalted. He, The Exalted, Says (what means): {And indeed, [O Muhammad], you guide to a straight path.} [Quran 42:52] It seems that this is what you meant with your statement.

As for the divine guidance that is specific to Allah, The Exalted, and may be attributed to none but Him, it is the guidance of success and the divine inspiration. This is what is meant by His statement (which means): {Indeed, [O Muhammad], you do not guide whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided.} [Quran 28:56]

Lastly, we advise you to disregard these whisperings and pay no attention to them.

Allah knows best.
