As a non-Muslim, how can one learn the Quran?

Question

I'm a non-Muslim and I am willing to learn quaran. What are the pre requisites and different ways to learn quaran and to practice it on dailylife. Do I need to change my religion?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

We ask Allah to open your heart to Islam, and advise you to hasten to embrace Islam by pronouncing the two testimonies of faith (testifying that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah) without delay.

The Quran is the word of Allah, containing His message for all humanity. It serves as a guide for what benefits man in both this world and the Hereafter. The Quran is accessible to everyone, with its meanings translated into the world’s major languages, allowing everyone to explore Islam in any language, regardless of one’s religion.

However, practicing its teachings daily requires believing in it, affirming its contents, and following the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) who conveyed its message.

We advise you to embrace Islam to fully benefit from the Noble Quran and receive its blessings:

- In this world: through guidance, happiness, an opened chest (full of self-confidence and contentment), and the opening of doors to goodness.

- In the Hereafter: by being saved from the torment of Hellfire, entering Paradise, and enjoying its blessings.

Furthermore, consider reading an introductory book on Islam in your language and contacting Islamic centers in your country to connect with specialized callers to Islam.

Allah knows best.
