Length of stay to qualify for shortening of prayers

Question

I am currently travelling for a period of 3 weeks (21 days) and residing at a fixed abode. Do I qualify for traveler's prayer. What is the maximum length of stay that dictates traveler's prayer in this case (i.e. on holidays and not moving around much)?

Accepted Answer

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

You are not permitted to shorten your prayer because you intended to stay there for more than four days.
