Question
Tell me about leasing and where I can go for leasing without interest specifically in Qatar.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
Leasing can be for a home, a car, a boat, etc. It should be done with specific conditions that are peculiar to the leased thing. For example, the conditions of leasing a home are the following: There should be a clear contract between the tenant and the lessor where the rent is specified and accepted by both parties and where also the period of lease is defined (a year, …. etc.). In the above way, there is no Riba (interest and/or usury).
As for lawful leasing in Qatar it is widespread. It is arranged through real estate companies that serve as brokers between the lessor and the tenant and a given amount is charged for that service. It can also be arranged through some individuals.
