Question
Why Islam today branded as a terrorist religion although Islam is the religion of patience. Why are our Alims silent on the issue being propagated by non-Muslims?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
Islam cannot be described as a religion of terrorism unless by its enemies who are blinded by their ignorance and bigotry from recognizing the reality of Islam. They repeatedly spread such biased words through their media and international gatherings so much that their people believed them.
Sadly enough, some of the Muslims' mass media took part in spreading this misconception through echoing what the enemies of Allah, the Exalted, and Muslims say. What helped such false notions about Islam is the Muslims' weakness, ignorance about their religion, disunity, failure of official authorities to shoulder their responsibilities in defending Allah's religion, and falling short of undertaking their role being witnesses over other people, as Allah ordered.
Therefore, Allah's enemies have formed an alliance against Muslims and defamed their religion by libeling it with bad appellations and descriptions that never fit it. And not only that, Allah's enemies, with their alliances and coalitions, conquered Muslims in their own dens.
All that is happening as a verification of the Prophet's saying:
“The nations are close to invading you from all horizons as the eaters rush calling one another for their receptacle.” We (the Companions) said: “Is this due to our small number at that time?” The Prophet said: “You are numerous at that time but you will be like the foam of the sea. Your enemies will no longer venerate you (veneration will be taken out of their hearts) and Wahan will be set in your hearts”. Someone asked him “What is Wahan, o Prophet of Allah?” The Prophet replied: “It is the love for this worldly life and the fear of death” [Ahmad and Abu Daawood]
As for the truthful and faithful scholars, they never kept silent; rather, they said the word of truth out loudly and expressed their stands through every possible means in their academic gatherings, in mosques and through different types of media, whether visual, audio, or printed. They also exploited the Internet for this purpose.
Their efforts were of fruitful effects on the Muslims' psyches and played a great role in reviving their awakening. Actually, they are doing well in answering the enemies of Allah and dismantling their plots.
