Husband should stimulate you sufficiently

Question

I don't practice masturbation I would like to know if during intercourse and foreplay instead of using sex toys for stimulation can a wife use her hands to stimulate herself if her husband is not able to do it for her? Will this be considered masturbation if with her husband?

Answer

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

Hand masturbation is Haram, whether outside the sexual intercourse or during the sexual intercourse. If you do not reach orgasm during sexual intercourse, then you have to inform your husband about your sexual needs or to stimulate you sufficiently before sexual intercourse.

Allah says: " And they (women) have rights (over their husbands as regards living expenses, etc.) similar (to those of their husbands) over them (as regards obedience and respect, etc.) to what is reasonable…(Al-Baqarah 2:228)

If you are used to masturbating then when you give it up you may not get the desired pleasure but this inconvenience should not last for long. With patience and your husband's co-operation you will not need to do this act again either before or during intercourse.

Supplicate and invoke Allah to make you chaste and save you from his displeasure.

Allah knows best.
