Fatwa CenterPrayed all day then realized he had a wet dream earlier
Question
One day I woke normally like any other day and performed my prayers as normal until the evening prayer, when I came to realize that I had wet dreams because I found a sign of it on my clothes. Should I then repeat the prayer for that whole day?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
If the matter is as you mentioned in the question, then it is an obligation on you to repeat all the prayers that you had performed while in a state of sexual defilement after awakening from sleep.
