Question
I have low sperm count, and had an operation and the count improved but not to the desired volume and making a lot of Istighfaar prayers and Du’aa, specially at the last third of nights and taking medication, after all I know and confirm that Allaah can make it happen even without medication.
I was advised to drink ginseng, it is a natural herbal treatment which is used as adaptogenic tonic that moderates harmful effects of stress (physical, mental/emotional, heat/cold and pollution); enhances physical and mental energy, endurance, stamina and performances; improves sexual function, potency and fertility; increases resistant to disease and speeds recuperation from illness.
The product I bought is fluid and it is fermented as a result of leaving the plant in water for long time to dissolve and becomes liquid, during this process no alcohol is added to it but it became brewed after being left in water for long time.
The sales woman mentioned that I can add warm water to get red of any undesired components which could be religiously prohibited.
1. Is it Halaal to drink this fluid as part of my medication to increase sperm count?
2. Is it Halaal to drink for general purposes as explained above?

Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
If this drink is preserved until it becomes an intoxicant then it is not permissible to drink it for whatever reason. Adding water to it does not change the ruling because intoxicants remain forbidden even if it is mixed with other fluids as long as it was not transformed before mixing to an extent that no intoxicant remains in it at all, or that it was treated until it was no longer ruled as an intoxicant, according to the preponderant opinion of the scholars
. Therefore, we advise you to seek another method of treatment and do not despair, and supplicate to Allaah, mention and obey Him as much as possible.
