Income of the woman who works without Hijab

Question

Is the income of the women working in the company or any place together with the man without Hijab Halal?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

If the type of work this woman is doing is permissible in itself then the money she gets thereof are permissible as they are wages on permissible work. However, she is disobedient to her Lord by not wearing Hijab and she is exposed to the threat that is mentioned in a Prophetic narration as the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "There are two types of people who will be punished in Hell and whom I have not seen: [the first type are] men who have whips like the tails of cows and they beat people with them, and [the second type are] women who are dressed but appear to be naked inviting to evil [they are seduced and seduce people]; and they themselves will be inclined to it. Their heads will appear like the humps of the Bukh camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise and they will not smell its fragrance which is perceptible from such and such a distance [from a great distance]." [Muslim].

So, a woman is obliged to fear Allaah, be steadfast on Islamic legislation and wear Hijab which she is ordered to wear. She should know that she will stand naked and barefooted before Allaah in a day that is 50,000 years long when her job and her money will not benefit her. Then, she will regret not abiding by Allaah's Commandments and by the orders of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ).
