Question
I am fifteen years old and I feel that I am unsuccessful as my abilities are limited, so what should I do?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
First of all, we ask Allaah to enable you to do what is good and beneficial. We tell you that you are not a failure, Allaah willing; you are still at the beginning of your youth, and all good lies in the youth. So, you should endeavour to take advantage of your youth and your time, and be keen to do what benefits you. First, you should start by learning a knowledge which will benefit you in this world and in the Hereafter. Keep company with the scholars
and with students of knowledge as this will make you aspire to achieve a high status and incites your determination.
You should beware of a bad company who discourage you and waste your time, and we ask Allaah to enable you in your endeavour and help you achieve your aspirations.
Finally, we thank you for your noble feeling, that the Muslim youth should acquire beneficial fundamentals which makes him distinct from the based and weak people who are pleased to live a life of animals who are only concerned in feeding their stomach or fulfilling their sexual desires.
