Question
Is it permissible for me to examine the wife of the son of my niece?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
It is not permissible to examine the wife of the brother or to be in seclusion with her as she is like other marriageable women, if she is not worse than this. For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 84577.
Since this is the ruling on the wife of the brother, then what about the wife of his son, or the wife of his grandson, or the wife of the son of his daughter?
To conclude, the wives of the persons mentioned above are marriageable to you so it is not permissible for you to examine them.
