Question
As Salaanm o ale kum. sheikh my question is an animal doctor by profession can he allow to cure pig and in return he take some fees but he know that it will slaughter one day. plz answer in the light of quran aad the shahih hadith. jazakullahu khairan.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
We are religiously ordained to kill the pig, therefore it is not permissible to treat it if it is sick, give it water to drink when it is thirsty, and the like. Ibn Hajar 
when commenting on the Prophetic narration, “Any good act that a person does to any living creature, he will be rewarded for it.”, he said: “The term 'any living creature' refers to creatures that are not harmful, since we are not permitted to strengthen the creatures that we are ordered to kill, because their harm will increase. Proving the same point, An-Nawawi stated that the narration is general but it is restricted to the animals that should be well treated and which we are not ordered to kill.”
Since the vet knows that the pig will be slaughtered and eaten, then this makes the prohibition of treating it even more. Therefore, it is not permissible to take money for treating it.
