The meaning of Pharaoh dividing people into 'factions' [Quran 28:4]
Salaam Alaikum. I have a question about 28:4. It states: "Indeed, Pharaoh exalted himself in the land and made its people into factions, oppressing a sector among them, slaughtering their [newborn] sons and keeping their females alive. Meaning of the word Rooh in verse 17:85
Asalamu Alaikum My question is in regards to 17:85 in the Qur'an. The ayah 'And they ask you about the Spirit. The objects of worship strive be 'nearest' in Quran 17:57
Salaam alaikum, dear shaikh in this verse ALLAH (Almighty) says: Those whom they invoke seek means of access to their Lord, [striving as to] which of them would be nearest, and they hope for His mercy and fear His punishment. What it means to 'pass by ill-speech with dignity' (Quran 25:72)
Assalaam alaikum, how do we understand this verse "And those who do not bear witness to falsehood, and if they pass by some evil play or evil talk, they pass by it with dignity" and the hadeeth which say to stop evil with hand, if not then by words, if not atleast think band about it-this being the lowest.
