Question
Where do the two angels who record a person’s deeds go after his death?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.
Allaah The Almighty assigned two angels to every person to record their deeds. In this regard Allaah Says (what means):
• {Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record].} [Quran 50:18]
• {And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, Noble and recording; They know whatever you do.} [Quran 82:10-12]
When a person dies, the angels appointed to him go where Allaah wills. To the best of our knowledge, there is no text specifying their destination.
