Question
Salam, My issue is of a drama! I agreed to marry a married man, he wife did not know at the time when we got married! Her husband told her he had intent & she could not see his just reason why he would want to get married!! So we keeped it secret.. We had only been married for 2months & she found out!! She read it in a text for him to me. She wasn't very happy & the drama unfolded. Her words where “you want her(me) divorce me (her)! I lov my husband very much & the marriage was based on Sitra for the sake of ALLAH, I hav 2 children from previous marriages. Now he has chosen to divorce me!! put this is the predicament where he loses everything or divorce me! Iv been I'n the iddeh for 3 weeks & I'm not knowing what to do. He says he dosnt want to do this but he has too!! Im that grateful for his Sitra I agreed to waver all my right as long as I still hav some of him, plz help is there any other way???
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
If your husband had divorced you and you are still in your waiting period, then what you can do so that he would take you back is to come to terms with him and clarify to him that by you agreeing to renounce your rights of him spending on you and staying overnight with you he should keep you as his wife without the knowledge of his first wife.
If this is of no avail, then you should be patient and you should know that divorce is not evil in all circumstances as Allaah may recompense you with a better husband.
Finally, we advise you to supplicate Allaah as much as possible and have trust in Him as He is more aware of what benefits us and He is more merciful to us than our fathers and mothers.
