What is the religious ruling on removing nasal hair by using scissors or by plucking?

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

Nose hair removal is among the matters that are not addressed in the religion. There are no explicit texts stating that removing nose hair is allowable or forbidden. However, nose hair removal is a form of cleanliness that is recommended in Islam, especially if it grows excessively. One may remove unwanted nasal hair with scissors or by plucking them.
