Understanding Islam itself should precede trying to understand Islamic law

I am researching Islam. I feel attracted by it. I have a question related to Qisaas (retaliation). What is the Qisaas law in case of killing a slave? Thank you

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

First of all, we thank you for visiting our site and for contacting us.

We ask Allah to open your heart to Islam and facilitate your conversion to it. We like goodness for you in the same manner that we like it for ourselves. We hope that you do what would grant you happiness in this worldly life and the Hereafter.

On this occasion, we refer you to some fatwas about the introduction to Islam; they bear the following numbers: 86091, 88906, 173389, and 88051.

With regard to the question that you asked about, there is a great difference of opinion among the scholars about its ruling.

It is better for you to know what is agreed upon, especially with regard to the basic issues of faith and morals. We hope that this would lead you to know the true religion of Islam and what would encourage you to embrace it.

Once you embrace Islam, it would become easier for you to know these matters of difference of opinion and to understand the statements of the scholars about it. These matters of difference of opinion are easy – Allah willing.

Allah knows best.
