Question
Does laughing loudly that men can hear invalidate Wudhoo’ (ablution)? Please advise. May Allaah Reward you.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
The majority of scholars agreed that laughing loudly does not invalidate Wudhoo’ at all, whether during prayer or otherwise. The Hanafi scholars, however, are of the opinion that laughing loudly in prayer only invalidates Wudhoo’. As-Sarakhsi 
a Hanafi scholar, said: “Unlike just smiling, laughing loudly in prayer invalidates Wudhoo’.” This ruling applies to males and females alike.
