Buying and Wearing Clothes, Shoes, or Bags That Bear Foreign Names, or Trademarks

Question

Alsalam alaykum, i hope you don't refer me to previous fatawaa because I have seen them and didn't find my answer, it permissible to buy and wear products that have names of non-Muslims like (Luis Vuitton, mark and Spencer, Tom Ford, Tommy Hilfiger etc...) and also sports wear like (Adidas, puma, under armour) and wear these clothes that have these names on them like a shirt or shoes or bags and so on? May Allah bless you.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

There is nothing wrong with buying and wearing clothes, shoes, or bags that bear foreign names, as they are trademarks of companies and do not have a forbidden meaning or propaganda for something forbidden.

However, it is forbidden to wear anything that contains a symbol of a forbidden matter, such as symbols that symbolize the religions of non-Muslims, such as the cross, the symbol of LGBT, or other symbols of the people of falsehood. This is the summary of our view here at Islamweb.
For more benefit on wearing clothes bearing Nike name or logo, please refer to Fatawa 348154, 344872, 289621 and 131412.

Allah knows best.
