as we know, allah does not forgive the wrongdoer who has violated another person's rights if the person who got wronged does not forgive.is this true if the wrongdoer regrets later on, repents sincerely, lives like a person that pleases allah but did not set the matter straight to that person whom he wronged in this world. but in the hereafter it is expected from the mercy of allah that allah will ask the person who got wronged to forgive their wrongdoer on the condition that allah will give whatever the person who got wronged wants in order to forgive their wrongdoer.
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu`alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
It is well established in Sharee'ah that Allah, The Exalted, is Just and does not wrong anyone, and the Lord of the Worlds, The Exalted, bestows fairness on every oppressed person and fulfills his right, and the retribution may be on the Day of Resurrection with good deeds and bad deeds, a fact recorded in Saheeh Al-Bukhari on the authority of Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah, allallaahu`alayhi wa sallam, said, “Whoever has wronged his brother with regard to his honor or something else, let him ask him for forgiveness before the time when there will be neither dinar nor dirham, and if he has any good deeds it will be taken from him in proportion to the wrong he did, and if he does not have any good deeds, some of the other person's evil deeds will be taken and given to him to bear.”
Despite this, whomever Allah The Exalted knows his remorse, sincere repentance, and sincere hope that the wronged person will be satisfied with whatever He The Almighty wills of His bounty, it may be that Allah, The Exalted, fulfills his desire for him by forgiving him and not taking revenge on him for the oppressed. Rather, He reconciles between them, and makes the oppressed person pleased with the oppressor, and both of them will enter Paradise with His grace and generosity, The Exalted. This has been mentioned in some reports.
Allah knows best.
