Taking bath or wudu before prayer

Question

Is "Eghtisal" taking a bath enough before prayer or I should practice "al wodu" after taking my bath to be ready for prayer!

Answer

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. There is no difference among scholars that when a person makes (WAJIB) a compulsory or (MASNOON) advisable(GHUSL) bath, if one intended WUDU & GHUSL, it would be sufficient for him, Allah said: {O you who believe! Approach not As - Salât (the prayer) when you are in a drunken state until you know (the meaning) of what you utter, nor when you are in a state of Janâba, (i.e. in a state of sexual impurity and have not yet taken a bath) except when travelling on the road (without enough water, or just passing through a mosque), till you wash your whole body}.(4:43) This verse indicates that a person should abstain from praying until he makes GHUSL. When he makes GHUSL he may perform prayers. In addition to that Wudu and Ghusl are two forms of worship. One of them will fall under the other, the BIG TAHARA (GHUSL)will include the small TAHARA (WUDU) as UMRAH in HAJJ. If one takes a bath and intends the (GHUSL) only, Muslim scholors have two opinions. The most correct opinion is that one does not need WUDU. If one intends WUDU only, then one has to repeat his GHUSL.

Allah knows best.
