Question
If a lady visits a doctor and she is examined inside (i.e. her vagina) or is prescribed medicines which she has to insert, does she have to take a purification bath before she performs Salat?
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. If a doctor examines a woman and inserts some tools in her vagina for medical purpose, if the tool comes out wet, it breaks Wudu. Performing bath is not compulsory except when sperm comes out owing to pleasure. Know that it is strictly forbidden for a woman to visit a male doctor for such examination except if there is a dire necessity and no female doctor is available. Allah knows best.
