Question
I want to know the Islamic ruling and medical cure for nymphomania.
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
What the Law-Maker has instructed us to do to cure nymphomania is to fast. It seems that it is forbidden to eradicate it totally.
The author of Tuhfatul-Muhtaj said: Al-Baghwi said: 'It is disliked to eradicate one's desires totally by using what is allowed. It is even said that it is forbidden.'
